Welcome to the Epsilon Omega chapter of Sigma Kappa here at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo! As a house we strive to excel academically, socially, and spiritually through sisterhood, philanthropy, and community outreach events. However, Sigma Kappa means much more to our members then a sorority - it’s family, friends, love – it’s home.

The sisters of Sigma Kappa work to maintain positive and lasting relationships with organizations on campus and throughout San Luis Obispo. As philanthropy is one of our greatest aspects, we do several annual events and fundraisers for our respective organizations. These include Gerontology with a focus on Alzheimer’s Research, Inherit the Earth, and Main Sea Coast Mission. Our annual events include Frats at Bat, an all-fraternity softball tournament, our annual Jean Sale, where we sell designer jeans and clothing on campus at a discounted price and donate all proceeds to Alzheimer’s Research, and Senior Prom, an evening of Sigma Kappa sisters celebrating life with the senior population of San Luis Obispo.

As a house, we pride ourselves on our strong sisterhood. We do frequent sisterhood events such as Lakers Game, Farmer’s Market, Frosting Cookies, midnight movie premiers, and other fun get togethers! Outside of organized activities, your Sigma Kappa sister is there for any given favor: a dinner date, a study buddy, a dress up idea, or just a ride to campus!

While our members cherish being a part of Sigma Kappa and all it has to offer, we encourage our sisters to go beyond the sheltering walls of the sorority to explore and engage in other opportunities the college and the community has to offer. We have members participating in Cal Poly’s Associated Students, Inc. (ASI), sports teams, intramurals, on-campus academic and recreational clubs, and community volunteer work.

Sigma Kappa here at Cal Poly has come a long way. I could not be more proud of this house of outstanding women. Each individual member models integrity, respect, confidence, and class. I am absolutely honored to lead these ladies in an organization that stands for something so much more than just the letters on a sweatshirt. Sigma Kappa has truly shaped my college experience in every way imaginable, whether it be having some one to talk to, to cry to, or to laugh with, I have always been able count on my sisters to be by my side and support me the past three years.

So please, navigate around our website to learn more about what Sigma Kappa is all about, and please contact us with any questions or if you would like any more information about our organization of women!
